Minors under 16 years old must always be accompanied by their legal guardians. In the case of minors aged 16 to 18, they must be accompanied by legal guardians, at least on the first day.

HISTORY OF VEDAMA

16 years.5867 days fighting for them.
Vedama is a nonprofit animal protection society located in Oliva (València).
The association consists of a group of people who, for many years, have been committed to working for the most disadvantaged animals.
July 15, 2010
The association, as we know it today, was founded on July 15th, 2010. For a while, Vedama exclusively worked with foster homes.
After managing to close the old municipal dog pound, Vedama was able to use these previously refurbished facilities.

Hannah was the first dog to enter the shelter. After her, hundreds of animals have passed through our hands, and we've helped them find truly loving homes.
2011
After a year in operation, the shelter began to become more welcoming thanks to the effort of volunteers and the support of people.
Our online presence also changed. Vedama's website became operational to give more visibility to all our furry friends. Until then, our way of reaching all of you was through a blog and posters distributed throughout Oliva.
2013
In 2013, 3 years later, we expanded the shelter by creating a spacious area, which we call the 'recreation' area, where all our dogs could run and play.
June 22, 2013
Vedama celebrated the First Trobada Canina Solidària in Oliva in 2013. This event has been, is, and will be one of the most important for us. The main location of the gathering was Parc de l'Estació, a location that we changed after a few years due to the great reception from all citizens of Oliva and surrounding areas.
2017
During 2017, Jaume Morera and Esther Cárdenas added color to the shelter by painting various outdoor murals.
July 19, 2020
Lucas is the dog that has lived in the shelter the longest. Lucas had a challenging temperament that made his adoption difficult. He entered the shelter in 2014, and it wasn't until July 19, 2020, 6 years later, when one of our volunteers decided to open the doors of his home to him.
